My Very First Games – My First Orchard is probably the most popular game from the My First Game series. My Very First Games – My First Orchard is a cooperative board game in which all players must work together to pick all the fruit from the orchard trees. You’ll be gathering red and green apples, blue plums, and yellow pears. But, of course, there’s a challenge. A hungry raven lives on the edge of the orchard, eagerly waiting to snack on the fruit you need to gather. You have to work quickly to collect all the fruit before the raven reaches the orchard and starts eating it.
Before starting the game, introduce the child to the game components: 4 types of wooden fruit, each placed on the matching tree tile, a basket for gathering the fruit, and the raven figure that will slowly advance along the path to your orchard. The game is played in turns, where you first roll the die. If it shows a color, you must pick a fruit of the corresponding color and put it in the basket. If the die shows the raven icon, move the raven one step closer to the orchard.
This educational game helps children get used to color recognition, learn the basics of board games, and practice teamwork. Don't be surprised if the child, despite the game’s rules, decides to feed the hungry raven anyway!
