My Very First Games – Flower Fairy is the newest game in the My First Game series, giving toddlers the opportunity to learn and develop fine motor skills, color and shape recognition, as well as communication and speech. The theme of the game is about the fairy Rosalina, who flies around her beautiful island sprinkling magical dust. It’s almost time for new flowers to bloom, but Rosalina and the children need to make sure everything goes smoothly.
The educational game can be played in two ways: free play on the island and spring lake. Free play is on the side of the board with the meadow and is designed for toddlers to first get familiar with all the game elements. The meadow features different shapes and colors that match the wooden game pieces (3 of each color) and 3 sets of flower petals for each color, giving children the chance to get acquainted with the elements and learn to recognize their differences. Once the child is comfortable with all the game pieces and feels ready to help Rosalina make the flowers bloom, it’s time to flip the board and start the game.
On the lake side of the board, there are places for flowers and a little bed where Rosalina sleeps. The game is played in turns, with the player rolling the die and moving the corresponding game element based on the result. If the die shows a color, place the matching flower part on the board; if it shows a star, the player chooses which flower color to place. The die also has an icon of Rosalina—if rolled, move her one space forward. Players win when all the flowers are complete, allowing Rosalina to sprinkle them with magic dust. The mission is unsuccessful if Rosalina reaches the end of the board before all the flowers are assembled, but you can always try again!
The game box contains 9 wooden flower parts (3 of each color), a fairy figure, 3 sets of petals, a die, and game rules.
