Product details
This is another one of the educational games from Haba's My First Game series, specially designed as the first game for your child. In the educational game My Very First Games – Hungry as a Bear, the little bear is hungry, but that's no problem with his favorite fruits and vegetables ready on the plate. But which food will the bear want to eat first? The die will tell us.
In this educational game, toddlers feed a 3D bear figure with an open mouth that is placed inside the game box. The food is represented by six different cardboard tokens: rice, potato, carrot, strawberry, spinach, and blueberry. Inside the box, you'll find components for playing several games with varying levels of difficulty. In the free play version, with the help of a spoon, the toddler feeds the bear with foods of their choice, helping them become familiar with the basic elements of the game. The other two versions of the game are:
- "Come On, Come On, Bear Needs to Eat" is a cooperative game. On each turn, players roll the die, which shows which food token to give to the bear using the spoon. When all the food tokens have been served, if there is more food in the bear's belly than on the discarded pile, all players win!
- "Quick, Quick, Bear is Really Hungry" is a memory game. Shuffle all the food tokens and place them face down. On their turn, players flip over two tokens of their choice; if they match, the player keeps them, if not, they are returned to the same spot. When all tokens are collected, the player with the most food tokens wins!
These educational games are designed to help toddlers develop motor skills at different levels, as well as shape and color recognition. In more complex versions, the child learns about taking turns, memory games, and the concept of winning in a game.
The box contains one bear figure with an open mouth and cap, 12 food tokens, a spoon, and game rules.
